When are the selectman going to update their minutes? They're two months old.

Thanks for the comment regarding accessibility of information on Town Offices, Hours and Phone Numbers. This has been a 'todo' of mine for too long, and I will try to address it in the near future.

This site is poorly organized. Key town phone numbers should be right on the home page. "Town Organizations" does not connote town government or boards so I am forced to hunt for the Town Offices I am looking for. When I go to town websites I am looking for the phone number and hours of the town's offices, the town's zoning code, property tax information, etc. Look at Wilton or Temple for better examples of how to serve the public.

On checking the calendar I found two errors. The selectmen will not be meeting July 4th and Barbara Walker is no longer working for the town.

Could you please add the Selectman's meeting times on the calendar. I bet new folks in town would also like having that a part of the calendar. They are Monday evenings at 7:30. (Only the first four Mondays of the month. (if there is a fifth Monday they don't usually have a meeting). Also I have asked the selectmen if they could post their agenda on the website by three o'clock each Monday. If they decide to do that, where would that be posted? I can't find information about the hours of the town clerk office. Seems like something that ought to be readily available.

If you click on "Town Organizations", then select "Selectmen" or "Dump..." you can get to the information you are looking for. There is a link "View meeting minutes, agenda & reports" at the top of the Selectmen's info page. The Selectmen's office has been good about keeping their online minutes up to date. Some of the other town organizations try to keep up with it, too. I like the idea of a packet of info for newcomers, although the latest Town Report has almost everything a person needs to know. (These are available at Town Hall.)

Would it make sense to have minutes from the regular meeting of selectmen, etc. on the site? I think it would be important to have landfill regulations, especially an up-to-date list of recyclables accepted. I also think that it would be great to have a packet of info for newcomer, who are more and more numerous.

Phone number listed for the post office is incorrect.

Summer hours at the dump change on the same date Daylight Savings Time starts and ends. So they'll change again on October 26.

Could you please add the Mont Vernon Congregational Church to the "Town Organizations" listing? Thanks.

They site needs more history of the town. Like i am doing a report of Mv and i could not find one bit of History. the site needs help

I wrote to your webmaster trying to let you know that I maintain a volunteer web site (USGenWeb) about the Town of Mont Vernon for history and genealogical purposes at http://www.jwbrown-home.com/Montvernon/montvernon.htm The web site include photographs of various places in the town, a brief history, places of interest (including the new church) and many resources for people performing genealogy in and around the town of Mont Vernon. I do free look-ups in the History of Mont Vernon for those seeking their ancestors in the town. I have back links to THIS web site on every page of my site. The first page of my web site mentions your 2003 Celebration and how to get information on the events planned. I'll be adding more information, from the History of the Town as time goes on. As a suggestion for your web site, you might want to add email contact addresses, other than the webmaster. Otherwise I enjoyed looking at it. I lived in Mont Vernon for a few years around 1977. I also maintain the USGenWeb genealogy and history web site for the Town of Merrimack NH. Thank you!

Why is the calander not up to date? I know that Fritz Weatherbe is scheduled in town for January. But there is no further information on where to purchase tickets. This event was posted at the election booths. Is this not enough time to have updated this site?

I have registered to use the forum on this site as we are soon going to be moving to Mont Vernon. When I type in the password I was assigned a note comes up saying it is an invalid password! Can you please help solve my problem?

JUST VISITED THE SITE TO SEE IF I COULD GET THE NAME OF A STREET THAT HAS ESCAPED ME FOR THE MOMENT. IS THERE NOT A STREET MAP FOR MONT VERNON? A FEW MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY STILL LIVE IN MONT VERNON. I LIVED THERE FROM 1948-1967. INTERESTING TO SEE HOW SOME THINGS HAVE CHANGED AND OTHERS NEVER CHANGE! AS A PAST MEMBER OF THE MONT VERNON CONGRGATIONAL CHURCH, SUNDAY SCHOOL AND PILGRIM FELLOWSHIP YOUTH GROUP AND MARRIED THERE, AM CURRIOUS TO KNOW WHY THERE IS NO MENTION OF THE CHURCH. I like this website. My family and I lived in Mont Vernon December 1991 - June 1994. We enjoyed our time there very much. I like to access this website often to see what is going on in Mont Vernon. I would like to make one suggestion - please add more pictures. The town and surrounding areas are so beautiful.

NICE WEB SITE, GOOD INFORMATION SORCE, MAYBE SOMEONE COULD UPDATE IT ONCE IN AWHILE WITH PICTURES, NATURE ETC. TO MAKE IT LOOK MORE APPEALING TO VACATIONERS.

I happened upon this site via another site tonight. Reading the Milford Cabinet, I didn't think Mont Vernon existed anymore! This is a great site and I enjoy the news of my hometown. If you see my dad, Bart Randall, say hi for me.

I like the design and operation of the site. It would be really useful if you could post your zoning regulations on the site. We have our whole town code on the town government page of our town site and it is really useful to citizens looking up what the rules are.

The information that is here is good, but an addition could be beneficial. Include a listing of town parks. How to get to them, what is there, perhaps a picture. If there are trails, then maybe a map? Or directions on how to get a map? I was looking for a park in a different town, and they didn't have the listing, which meant I had to call people and ask them, etc. Of course, that sort of information would be useful for other town resources as well.

I really like the whole site. There is so much information! However, tell me how I can get into the Historical Society's spot on the list of town activities and I can update it. Bob Naber's talk has long gone by. I could also update the MVVS if you want. At least while Bob is still on the Board. Thanks for a great site!!!

Very nicely site construction. I really appreciate the information on the town that my ancestors lived in during the Rev.War and after. My only comment is that no church is listed with the pastors' name and other information on worship time etc. Why? Thanks again; Bill

I just found out Mont Vernon has a website and I am putting it on my favorites list becuase it connects me to so many sites which I can really use! I am a relative new-comer to Mont Vernon (don't worry, we didn't build, we bought a pre-owned home! HAHA) and I found the new site very helpful. It's nice to have a list of the town offices and the calendar of events so I know what activities are going on around town. Keep up the good work!

Great information on the site. I agree with the others that it would be nice to see minutes from town meetings planned....school board, planning board, selectmen, etc. My only reservation is why are we putting up local real estate listings:)
