7:00 PM Scenic Road Hearing – Trow Road Immorlica stated that Bucky wants to widen Trow Road. Immorlica stated that there are lots of Ladyslippers from Mrs. Trow's house to Old Wilton Road. Immorlica stated that there is a stone wall on the side of the road as well. Immorlica stated that she is concerned about wash out. Quinlan stated that widening the road will help with the wash out problem. Shelley Brooks, an abutter, wanted to know how widening the road will help. Immorlica stated that some trees have been taken down in the past and the wash out is worse in those spots. Bird asked if they would be putting in culverts. Immorlica stated that Bucky only mentioned taking down trees and widening the road. Bird suggested the board recommend to the Selectmen that an engineer look at the road. Immorlica stated that Bucky has to do it in the fall and needs to do it now if he is going to do it at all. Quinlan stated that the town has no money to hire an engineer. Arico suggested that they discuss it at town meeting and put it in the budget. Quinlan stated that what Bucky wants to do will just cost him his men's salary. Quinlan added that they want to make some changes now so maintenance is less in the future. The board decided that they have enough information and need to have a site walk. Immorlica stated that they will continue the hearing to the first meeting after the site walk.

7:25 PM McKinney motioned to accept the minutes of August 12, 2008 as amended. Bird seconded. Arico, Bolinsky and Quinlan abstained. Bird, Immorlica and McKinney were in favor. The motion passed. The board decided to vote on the minutes of August 26, 2008 at the next worksession.

7:30 PM Subdivisions currently before the board Immorlica stated that Fairhaven has given the town an easement for 10-feet and Bucky says that 10-feet is fine. Immorlica stated that a minimum of 20-feet for an easement is the standard in the subdivision regulations. Immorlica asked if the board wanted to do anything about it. The board replied no.

Immorlica stated that the board received the Review for Approval checklist and plans for the Greenway Valley subdivision. Immorlica pointed out that it is a minor subdivision according to the regulations. The board went through the checklist and made comments regarding any issues.

8:30 PM Driveway Ordinance Bird left the meeting. The board looked over a typical driveway sheet from Chip Spalding. Arico asked if driveways could be part of the building code. Quinlan stated that it was a good idea and he would speak to the building inspector about it.

8:40 PM Master Plan Immorlica stated that they need a current and up-to-date Capital Improvements Plan (CIP). Immorlica stated that Quinlan worked on the CIP two years ago. Quinlan stated that the Selectmen have met with the Cemetery committee representatives about the land behind the Post Office and that there are a lot of things happening and changing. Quinlan stated that the Library is also getting together another proposal. Immorlica asked if it is premature to do the CIP now. Quinlan stated that if they do the CIP now, it will be incomplete.

8:48 PM Quinlan motioned to adjourn the meeting. McKinney seconded. All were in favor. The meeting was adjourned.
